German Sour Cream Twists

DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC MIXER. This must be put together by hand!

Ingredients

3-½ cu. flour
1 t. salt
1 cu. real butter (softened, but not melted)
1 pkg. yeast
¼ cu. warm water
¾ cu. sour cream
1 t. vanilla
1 whole egg
2 egg yolks

Directions

Combine the following ingredients together to make a batter. DO NOT USE AN ELECTRIC MIXER. This must be put together by hand!

This dough must now be refrigerated for at least 2 hours, but overnight is best.

Roll half dough to 8" x 16". Sprinkle generously with sugar. Fold dough 3 times. Roll out to 1/4" thick. Cut into strips measuring about l" x 4". Twist each strip. Bake at 375F for about 15 minutes on a cookie sheet, sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
