Apple Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Breakfast casserole to do ahead. Very delicious.

Ingredients

8 slices bread (cubed)
1 ½ cu. Sliced apples (I used Granny Smith) 2 lb. ground pork sausage (I used sweet Italian sausage)
2/3 t dry mustard
8 eggs, lightly beaten
1 ½ cu. Grated sharp cheddar cheese
3 cu. Milk

Directions

In large skillet, fry sausage, breaking into small bits as it cooks. Remove the sausage from the skillet and place in the bottom of sprayed baking dish (9x13).
Saute apples using the same pan you just used for the sausage.
In large bowl, combine the apples, bread, mustard, eggs, cheese and milk until well mixed.
Pour apple mixture over sausage. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
Bake at 350 degrees covered for 30 minutes. Remove the cover and bake an additional 30 minutes.
