Beef Stew with Wine
Really nice beef stew. Excellent thing to put into a pottery casserole with a lid. Just be careful to put the casserole into the oven and then turn the oven on.
Ingredients
1 can Tomato Soup
1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 can Cream of Celery Soup
1-2 lbs. stew beef
2 carrots - cut in chunks
2 potatoes - peeled and cut in chunks (I did not add potatoes)
1 large onion cut in wedges (I sliced mine)
1/4 lb. fresh mushrooms (I used more)
1 cup red cooking wine
I think adding a teaspoon of allspice would be really good in this stew.
Directions
Combine all ingredients in Dutch oven or large casserole dish. Bake, covered at 350 for 3 hours.
