Sour Cream Pound Cake
Ingredients
1 cu. margarine, softened
2-¾ cu. sugar
1 T vanilla
2 t. grated orange peel
6 eggs
3 cu. flour
½ t. salt
¼ t. baking soda
1 cu. sour cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 325F. Spray tube pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Beat margarine until creamy. Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and orange peel. Add eggs, one at a time, beating 1 minute after each addition.
Combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, alternately with the sour cream. Beat for about 2 minutes on medium speed.
Pour into prepared tube pan. Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. After about ½ hour, remove cake from pan and allow to cool completely.
