Strawberry Pretzel Squares

Ingredients

2 cu. finely crushed pretzels
⅓ cu. sugar
⅔ cu. margarine, melted
12 oz. cream cheese, softened
¼ cu. sugar
2 T milk
1 cup cool whip
2 cu. boiling water
1 lg. pkg. strawberry jello
1-½ cu. cold water
1 qt. strawberries, sliced (Frozen strawberries can also be used.)

Directions

Mix crushed pretzels, ⅓ cu. sugar and margarine. Press firmly into the bottom of 13x9" baking pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350F. Cool.

Beat cream cheese, ¼ cu. sugar and milk until smooth. Stir in whipped topping. Spread this mixture over cooled pretzel crust and refrigerate.

Stir boiling water into gelatin for 2 minutes or until completely dissolved. Stir in cold water. Refrigerate 1-½ hours or until thickened. Stir in strawberry slices. Spoon over cream cheese layer.

Refrigerate 3 hours or overnight. Cut into squares. Makes 15-18 servings.
