Pan-Seared Strip Steak

This was really good. I did marinade the steaks for about 24 hours before preparing.

Beef Meat 30-To-An-Hour

Ingredients

Strip Steaks
Garlic salt
1-2 T olive oil
2 T butter
2 cloves crushed garlic

Directions

Let steaks stand for about 30 minutes. You want them to be at room temperature before cooking.
If you used a marinade drain off and blot the steaks.
Add olive oil to skillet over high heat. Add steaks and cook on medium high for 4 minutes per side.
Now add 2T of butter to the pan. Reduce heat to medium low. Swish the butter mixture around in the pan - getting some under the steaks. Baste the steaks with the butter and continue to baste for about 2 minutes.
Remove steaks from the pan and let rest for about 10 minutes.
Steaks were about 1/2” thick and were a perfect medium rare.
