Mulled Cranberry Sauce

Really good. Great on a sandwich too.

Veggies Salad Fruity Snacks

Ingredients

Cinnamon - about 1/4 t
1/4 t black pepper
Orange zest - fresh
3 cloves
1 lb cranberries - fresh or frozen
1 1/2cu sugar
1/2 cu red wine
Salt to taste

Directions

Combine cranberries, sugar and 1 1/2 cu water with the wine and a pinch of salt. Add cinnamon, cloves, orange zest and pepper. Cook over medium/low heat until berries burst and sauce thickens. About 20 minutes. stir occasionally.
Refrigerate at least 3 hours.
Great do ahead dish.
