Lasagna
The only true lasagna.
Ingredients
1 lb. Lasagna noodles (cooked, drained and cooled a bit)
Tomato sauce
1 lb. ground beef (browned and added to sauce) (Optional)
1 lb. pork sausage (cooked, browned and added to sauce) (Optional)
1 lg. container cottage cheese or Ricotta Cheese
2 eggs
1 lb. shredded or slice mozzarella cheese
Directions
In large bowl, mix cottage/ricotta cheese with two eggs. Blend well.
Using large baking pan, Spread generous amount of sauce in bottom of pan. Add a layer of lasagna noodles. Add layer using all of the cottage cheese, sprinkled with the mozzarella cheese. Add another layer of lasagna noodles. Add generous amount of sauce on top of last layer of noodles.
Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake at 325F for about one hour. Remove aluminum foil and let sit for about 10 minutes to make slicing easier.
